Mendable, developed by SideGuide, is an AI-powered search engine that aims to assist developers in finding answers to their queries automatically. It can be easily deployed with just one line of code and has the support of Y Combinator. Mendable offers personalized responses based on a user's documentation and continuously enhances its performance by gathering feedback. It seamlessly integrates with platforms like Discord, Slack, and Github, allowing users to add a chat-powered search bar to their documentation or website. Moreover, Mendable provides valuable reporting insights to identify obstacles and enhance the developer experience. Currently, it is free for open source projects and offers a free trial for non-open source projects. While it does not analyze a user's repository code at present, this feature may be added in the future, with users having the choice to opt out of data sharing. Although Mendable is currently closed source, there are plans to potentially transition to an open-source model.
